Memory Maker at Home.

You don’t need to leave the house to be creative.

Tap into your creativity at home with these resources! These tools are meant to help elders, people with memory loss and their loved ones connect, share stories, and reminisce.

  • The Art of Conversation

Take a look at art from museums around the world! Flip through the deck and use the accompanying questions as inspiration to share your stories, ideas, and opinions.

  • Writing Prompts

Stretch your imagination and tell your story with these writing prompts. They are designed to be used collaboratively (with two or more people), but are fun to use solo, as well.

  • Veterans Story Project

Listen as aging Veterans share stories about their experiences in the United States Military as part of a collaborative project in partnership with Vortex Dance and the Souther Tier Veterans Support Group.

  • Read Along Stories

These special books are interactive and interesting for people living with memory loss (and anyone with a curious mind!). They are meant to read out loud in a small group, but are a-okay to read solo, too!

  • Memory Maker Radio

Listen to old-time radio show clips, classic music, a bit of banter, and interactive questions from the Memory Maker Project’s director, Christina Muscatello, music therapist, Kristen Carter and Brian Pragacz.

  • Creative Moments

Follow local arts instructors while they lead you through a variety of creative aging exercises to engage your mind, body, and spirit. In Partnership with WSKG Public Broadcasting.
